and after singing Alleluia he been the winner of both xfactor (3rd) and school idol (1st) after two competitions. He will be in next stage in Manchester for xfactor and in Lancashire for school idol. Good luck! This is the comment from Smithills school The Smithills heat of School Idol featured all the finalists from the school’s highly successful 2009 X Factor final earlier in the year together with a number of new acts invited to participate by Mr Gibbs and Miss Flemming. Whilst the judges deliberated as to who had won, once again Vogue took to the stage to sing two songs, one of which was their new single release Twilight. When the judges had finished their deliberations and all the audience votes had also been counted too, the two winning acts chosen to participate in the regional final to be held later in the year were singers Dena Poorkhataie and Esperant Kayonda. Dena sang Black Velvet as superbly as ever whilst Esperant sang Alleluja with the passion and feeling that have become his trademark. The judges were so amazed at the standard of the Smithills heat that they also chose to put through a third act too, the rock group Counterpoint.
