Pastor Hubert N. Kayonda - Man of God with Vision

Ephrata Church

Our church started on 13 April 2003 by one Man of God, Pastor Hubert N. Kayonda, looking for a place to worship God and to practice their faith in French. The aim of the church will help all French speaking who can’t speak English wet to worship God. Most French Speaking are from Africa, Asylum Seekers and Refugees.

Many ministers were involved but one of them is Pastor Eugine A. Mukwa who is a Pastor of Ephrata Church Liverpool. He contacted Revd Ken Stock, Minister of Salford Methodist Church to introduce us to Revd Philip Mason to welcome us.

We never started the Service until Revd Philip Mason, who is a Superintendant at Victoria Hall-Bolton Methodist Mission accepted the Congregation in Chapel and after in Walker Suite at Victoria Hall. Since 2003, Victoria Hall is like a home for Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Bolton.

The name of the church came from the Bible, Micah 5.2. The Pastor Hubert has been a Minister in Bethlehem Ephrata Church in DR Congo.

With each challenge we have encountered, we became stronger in our faith. We may provide links to other sites that provide more details on our church history or particular events in our past.

We invite you to become a part of the church today and a piece of its history tomorrow.
